History
Our family
moved to Zionsville in 1969 after living on the east side of Indianapolis.
My father,
Warren Smith, bought an existing Jack's Pizza business in the mid-1980s.
He was successful in maintaining the Jack's brand, but then developed his
own custom recipe and renamed the business. We are the
longest-running, continuously operated pizza restaurant in Zionsville.
Dad was known
to always have a quick joke to tell. We do our best to uphold this
tradition, but his are big shoes to fill. He had an encyclopedic
memory for jokes and stories. For some of the ZPD jokes,
Note that they may at times be a bit blue, but we'll keep them from being
too over-the-top. If you have a joke to submit, please
e-mail us.
Many national
chains and other local competitors have come and gone, but Zionsville
Pizza Delivery has remained a constant in the Zionsville community for
many years. In fact, we're the longest continuously operated pizza
restaurant in Zionsville, having been open since the early 1980s.
We operate out
of an historic building that's more than 100 years old. We're
located just a few yards east of the Friendly Tavern on Hawthorne Street,
just a stone's throw from the Lion's Club park.
Dad absolutely loved to
cook...and loved to eat! His affinity for great food shows in the
care he put into developing our custom recipe. I can pretty well
guarantee that when you taste our pizza, you'll say "WOW!".
